SKIN CARE ROUTINE FOR TRANSITIONING SEASONS!

Updated: Oct 19

Hi guys!! It’s been a while that I do not write a blog but this time I really wanted to talk a little bit about the importance of taking care of our skin in the beginning of a9Su new season.

All beauty fanatics know that with a new season comes a new skincare routine and this autumn is no different. Fall is already here and we have to prepare our skin for the upcoming months, my skin is super dry so I have to keep it hydrated all the time. I've tried a lot of products and now I know which ones really work and give me the results that I'm looking for.

I love tanning and I know that is not a great combination with dry skins, last summer I went to the beach and to my parents in law pool several times and I made all that I had to do in order to keep my skin healthy, hydrated and flawless. The temperature drop does not mean you should suddenly say bye to your SPF and skin products (you should actually never do that), they are essential for our skin and now that we are entering into the fresh/cold months It's our time to take advantage and take care of my skin a lot more.

If you are wondering what happens to our skin as the season transitions, it all lies in the weather patterns. Some common skin changes include duller skin, closed pores from the heavier textures found in makeup, moisturizers and other products, and one of the biggest causers of all is the sun damage.

We have to keep in mind that we can not stop using the sunscreen and the moisturizers, maybe we can change the products depending on the climate because It can range where you guys live. It can switch from cold to dry to permanently warm or vice versa, and all can take a toll on your skin.

Start giving the rest of your body as much attention as you give your face. Body balms and moisturizers should remain on hand, body wash and soothing bath oils can be helpful during fall.

TIP: COOL IT!! turn down the temp when washing your body and face. When it’s cold, we tend to spike up the water temperature to compensate, this causes the blood vessels in the skin to dilate in order to release heat; this also results in more water evaporation from your skin contributing to dry skin in winter and we DON'T want that.

Swap that, try this: give your skin a break and limit your hot-shower time, using gentle moisture-rich cleansing products.

I also learned the importance of using a great body wash, I'm now trying a new Moisture Renew Blend Technology line from Dove and I'm in love with all of them, you guys MUST try them because the results on my skin are just AMAZING since I started using it. This line has a widest-ever selection of 14 scents and textures to suit unique skin needs and as the  NEW Dove Body Wash has been designed to be as customized and effective as possible with natural ingredients. It’s free of sulfates and parabens, and pH balanced. Globally, Dove does not test on animals and is certified PETA cruelty free, what's better than that? You will notice the change in your skin’s texture and overall appearance by using them!

This are my most important tips:

-SWAP OUT YOUR SUMMER CLEANSER.

-PROTECT WITH SPF

-RESIST EXCESSIVE HOT SHOWERS.

-TRY A NEW BODY WASH ACCORDING TO YOUR SKIN NEEDS.

-SWITCH TO A THICKER MOISTURIZER.

-ADD AN OVERNIGHT MASK TO YOUR ROUTINE.

-APPLY A SERUM OR FACIAL OIL

-EXFOLIATE SEMI-REGULARLY

-LISTEN TO YOUR SKING!!!!

I hope this blog helps you take care of your skin to the fullest in this new season, if you guys have any questions just leave a comment here or send me a message on my Instagram @carlanunez_ I will be more that happy to help you in whatever you guys need!

xoxo,
